SMS understands and utilises the full value of an energy audit. We conduct audits that track energy usage and efficiency to identify key areas for improvement. We assess the present patterns of energy inputs, how much they cost and highlight any wastage. These audits allow us to put measures in place for energy savings and optimisation.

Once we understand the major sources of energy wastage we put in place a working process to allow for energy conservation. We do so by reducing wastage and loss and improving efficiency through technological upgrades and improved operations and maintenance.

The best way to conserve energy is to replace it with a cheaper, renewable and eco-friendly source. Renewable resources such as solar energy, wind power, small scale hydro and biomass pellets are all viable energy sources that can be utilised as alternative energy sources.

Condition monitoring of energy is a long-term strategy dedicated to continuous improvement and energy efficiency. It is the long term version of the audit that helps you keep up with and deal with the day-to-day wear and tear faced by equipment and energy sources. Unlike an audit which is a one-time process, condition monitoring is a long-term, ongoing process.
